Steve Smith

England's scrum half on 28 occasions, 5 of them against Wales. Steve knows what it is like to be an unbeaten captain against the old enemy, with a 17-7 victory at Twickenham in 1982, and a 13 all draw at Cardiff in 1983. In 1975 and 1981 he was on the losing side at Cardiff, but was part of the 9-8 thrashing England handed out in 1980 at Twickenham on the way to the Grand Slam!

As well as being England captain for two seasons, Steve was also part of the World champion England 7's team in 1973, and toured New Zealand in 1983 with the British Lions. He played his entire club career with Sale and was captain for several years.

Steve is a director of Cotton Traders, a very successful company he founded, with his old chum Fran Cotton, some 12 years ago. In addition to his day job he is presently commentating with ITV and covered the whole of the last two World Cups.

Steve is a naturally chirpy personality, and is always a very popular speaker at these occasions. He will quickly establish a good atmosphere with your guests.
